Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and welding metal aluminum and steel components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of welding techniques and fabrication skills to bring technical drawings and blueprints to life. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge, excellent craftsmanship, and a proactive approach to safety and quality. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings accurately to guide welding and assembly processes. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Laser welding, and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit-up and fabrication accuracy. Use power tools, hand tools, cutters, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, ductwork, and other metal materials. Fabricate metal components for construction projects or machinery by welding, fitting, grinding, and assembling parts as per technical specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to metal fabrication, welding operations, and equipment handling. Collaborate with team members on project assembly tasks while adhering to ASME codes & standards for quality assurance. CNC machine experience is a plus. Qualifications Proven experience working in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, Laser, SMAW, with certifications preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures; basic math skills for precise measurements. Knowledge of safety protocols specific to welding environments; ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely. Experience working with extrusions, sheet metal fabrication, cutting, machining or related tasks is highly desirable. Ability to interpret ASME codes & standards as well as general shop math for accurate fabrication. Pay:
