Job Description

Griffin Lumber & Hardware is seeking an energetic individual to join our team as a Truss Assembler. The Truss Assembler is a team member who performs manual construction of trusses.

Duties:

Review layout and cut sheets to verify wood material length, grade and size. Set up Jig with team members (CAD Software used for specs) Quality checking of product and verify height, cuts, depths, spans and squares. Assembles truss and locates plates. Ensure proper safety and incident reporting Plans and paces own work to match the Lead assembler Stack and bundle trusses Maintain clean job site to eliminate potential hazards Report to production manager

Qualifications:

Experience in Construction or Manufacturing a plus Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction working with nail gun, hammer, forklift, press machine and saws Applicable safety precautions Ability to meet schedule consistency Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50lbs Must be able to read a tape measure Ability to stand long periods of time Operate in a team environment
