Head of Manufacturing SUMMARY:
Works with a team in a manufacturing environment performing a variety of operations to assemble, and potentially troubleshoot, electro-mechanical systems using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to correctly assemble/test medical devices. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow ALCOR's documented instructions, processes and procedures to correctly assemble/test and troubleshoot devices Work with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as test equipment Comply with FDA and ISO regulatory requirements and in accordance with the ALCOR Scientific Inc. Quality Management System. Complete all required administrative functions relating to business or regulatory requirements as assigned. Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and assembled product to Head of Manufacturing. Assist with and/or provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Perform other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successfully completed ALCOR training as Assembler I
- Up to 100% sitting, standing, and walking in an 8-hour workday
- Occasional lift/carry, pushing and pulling of up to 30 lbs
- Ability to read and interpret simple assembly instructions and drawings.
- Ability to solder, experience working in manufacturing
- Assembly using basic handheld and power tools
- Effective English communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a team environment with effective interpersonal skills.
- Understands Quality and the effect it has in a production environment.
