ROPE ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN/FABRICATOR

• 23/HR | 1st Shift | Temp-to-Hire Superior Skilled Trades is hiring an experienced Rigging & Wire Rope Assembly Technician for an immediate opening in Lorton, VA .

This is a hands-on manufacturing position focused on rigging assembly, wire rope fabrication, mechanical assembly, and industrial sewing . The company manufactures rigging and lifting products using wire rope, steel cable, chain, and synthetic materials for heavy lifting, cargo securement, and industrial applications.

• 23/hour to start

Schedule:

Monday-Friday some OT on Saturday as needed

7:00am to 3:30pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assemble and fabricate wire rope slings, rigging products, and lifting assemblies Work with wire rope, steel cable, chain, synthetic webbing, and related rigging components Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools Measure, cut, inspect, and assemble products according to specifications Operate shop and production equipment safely and efficiently Perform industrial sewing of synthetic webbing and related materials Assist with preparing and packaging completed rigging products Load and unload raw materials and finished products Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow company safety procedures and production requirements Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous rigging, wire rope, cable, manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or industrial experience preferred Experience working with wire rope or rigging products is a strong plus Industrial sewing experience preferred, but not required Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math Ability to follow detailed specifications and work instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to learn new equipment and production processes Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, and perform repetitive tasks Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise

REQUIREMENTS

Reliable transportation required Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
