Job Description

Summary:
LKD Aerospace LLC (www.lkdaerospace.com) is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Assembly Technician. Reporting directly to the operations manager, this position will operate automated soldering equipment used in the manufacture of flex tape assemblies, perform assembly and inspection activities, maintain production records, and support manufacturing operations as necessary within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing and distribution organization. No prior soldering experience is required, and on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Operate automated soldering equipment used in the manufacture of flex tape assemblies. Load, monitor, and unload production runs while ensuring product quality and adherence to work instructions. Perform assembly, inspection, and production-related tasks in accordance with established procedures and workmanship standards. Conduct visual inspections of completed assemblies and identify potential quality concerns. Maintain production and quality records in accordance with company procedures and
AS9100D/ISO 9001
quality requirements. Follow IPC workmanship standards and established production, manufacturing, and quality system procedures to ensure product quality and compliance. Assist with setup, cleaning, and basic maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Assist with the evaluation and implementation of process improvements as directed by management. Support inventory handling and material movement as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet production requirements. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Manufacturing, assembly, electronics assembly, or related experience is beneficial but not required.
Preferred Experience/Knowledge:
Prior soldering experience preferred but not required. Previous manufacturing, production, or assembly experience preferred. Experience working with hand tools and small components preferred. Familiarity with IPC standards is a plus; training will be provided. Experience following written work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and standard operating procedures. Experience maintaining production or quality-related records is a plus.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and consistency. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes, equipment, and techniques. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word, are preferred. Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and work instructions. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work Shift:
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production schedules and customer requirements. Alternative work schedules may be approved by the supervisor based on business needs.
Location and Work Environment:
The position is full-time and performed on-site in Snoqualmie, WA. The work environment is fast-paced and collaborative, requiring individuals who are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to learn new processes and technologies quickly. Strong organizational skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. The candidate must be able to read and respond to documents in both hard copy and electronic formats. The position may require the ability to occasionally lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, stretching, and standing during shifts.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position is $22 to $28 per hour and is based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
