About the role:
Sharpe/DMG has an immediate opening for a Production Manager at our Orange facility. The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role leads production staff, manages schedules, coordinates with cross-functional teams, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer expectations and business objectives. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee and manage daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. Supervise, coach, and develop production team members while fostering a positive and accountable work environment. Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines. Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. Collaborate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Engineering, and Sales teams to coordinate materials, production priorities, and customer requirements. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods and work with appropriate departments to prevent shortages. Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and increased operational efficiency. Track production metrics and prepare reports on productivity, quality, downtime, and labor performance. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and coordinate preventive maintenance as needed. Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development. Experience 5+ years of manufacturing or production experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Experience managing production schedules, workflows, and personnel in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of production processes, inventory control, quality systems, and workplace safety. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus. Requirements and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with computers and production reporting systems. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and operational excellence. Physical Demands and Work Environment Regularly required to walk the production floor, stand for extended periods, bend, reach, climb, and occasionally lift or move materials. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. Exposure to a manufacturing and warehouse environment, including moving equipment and varying temperatures. Must be able to safely operate or oversee the operation of material handling equipment, including forklifts, as needed.
Compensation:
