Job Summary The Concrete Plant Manager oversees daily plant operations, including production scheduling, quality control, staffing, inventory, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. This role leads plant personnel and coordinates with dispatchers, drivers, project teams, and customers to ensure efficient production, timely delivery, and adherence to quality and industry standards. Job Description Manage plant operations including production schedules, equipment utilization, and staffing. Ensure quality control by verifying concrete mixes meet project and engineering specifications. Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, project teams, and customers to meet construction schedules. Supervise plant personnel such as batch operators, quality technicians, mechanics, and truck drivers. Monitor inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, fly ash, slag, and other materials. Oversee equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure reliable production. Maintain safety compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements. Track production costs and budgets while looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses Skills Required Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete production, materials operations, or related construction industry roles. Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience. Must have concrete batch plant experience as a quality inspector OR operator/manage Strong knowledge of concrete batching operations, quality control procedures, and production management. Understanding of ACI, ASTM, DOT, and other applicable industry standards. Experience with computerized batch control systems. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and support varying work schedules Regular, reliable attendance. Work productively and meet deadlines timely. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma or GED. Additional Requirements Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
