full-time Manufacturing Automation Manager Greater Columbus/Edinburgh, IN Area | Full-Time | On-Site A growing advanced manufacturer is seeking an experienced Automation Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation systems supporting high-volume plastics manufacturing. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity focused on driving productivity, reliability, and innovation across automated production operations. What You'll Do Lead automation initiatives supporting robotics, PLCs, conveyors, AGVs, and automated manufacturing systems. Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and equipment uptime. Troubleshoot complex automation issues and implement long-term corrective solutions. Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage automation technicians, vendor relationships, and preventive maintenance strategies. What We're Looking For 5+ years of automation leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of PLCs, industrial robotics, conveyor systems, AGVs, and automated manufacturing equipment. Experience leading automation projects, troubleshooting controls, and implementing Lean manufacturing improvements. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or equivalent experience preferred.
