Van Buren, Indiana Come Grow With Us Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Director of Manufacturing to lead the strategy, systems, and leadership capabilities that drive performance across our manufacturing operations. This is a system-level leadership role with responsibility for setting the direction our plants execute against. The Director of Manufacturing will own Weaver Manufacturing Excellence (WME), strengthen operational capability, develop manufacturing leaders, and build the technical and financial foundation needed for sustainable, world-class performance. The right candidate will be a strategic manufacturing leader who understands how to connect people, processes, technology, and financial performance—while remaining closely engaged with day-to-day operations. What You'll DoManufacturing Strategy Develop and maintain a three-year manufacturing roadmap aligned with company goals. Establish and drive consistent manufacturing standards across the organization. Lead capacity planning and manufacturing capital planning. Set the manufacturing technology and automation strategy, including MES, line data, and predictive maintenance. Benchmark performance against internal and industry best practices. Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement Own Weaver Manufacturing Excellence as the operating system for all plants. Define manufacturing KPIs and lead the operating-review process. Standardize manufacturing systems, processes, and policies across locations. Lead Lean deployment and establish consistent problem-solving methods using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles. Assess WME and continuous-improvement maturity, identify capability gaps, and develop plans to close them. Scale successful improvements across the manufacturing network. Safety and Food Safety Set the manufacturing safety and food-safety strategy. Champion a zero-harm and food-safe culture across all operations. Ensure
GFSI/SQF
certification, FSMA compliance, allergen controls, food defense, and recall and traceability readiness are embedded in the manufacturing system. Leadership and Culture Lead with a servant-leadership mindset, putting the safety, growth, and success of the team first. Build and develop a strong manufacturing leadership team. Own succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership development for operations. Lead organizational design and help shape a positive, accountable manufacturing culture. Hold plant leadership accountable for consistent execution and results. Financial Performance Own the manufacturing budget, labor strategy, and capital expenditures. Develop and execute the manufacturing cost-improvement roadmap. Lead productivity initiatives that improve OEE, throughput, yield, scrap, and cost per unit. Ensure capital projects are completed on time and within budget. Cross-Functional Leadership Align Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Food Safety, and HR around manufacturing priorities. Bring the appropriate teams together when significant operational issues arise. Strengthen systems and capabilities to address root causes and prevent recurrence. What You'll BringRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience leading multi-site or system-level manufacturing operations. Demonstrated ability to establish manufacturing strategy, build organizational capability, and develop leaders. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, manufacturing operating systems, and continuous-improvement governance. Financial and capital-planning experience. Ability to lead change and influence cross-functional partners without direct authority. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational leadership skills. Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform the position safely and effectively. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree. Experience in food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing. Experience leading a multi-site capital and automation roadmap. Familiarity with GFSI certification schemes, including SQF or BRC, and
FSMA/PCQI
requirements. Pay:
$165,550.00 - $236,500.00 per year
