The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in meat cutting, food safety, and food processing. This role requires a strong understanding of meat fabrication and packaging, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards while adhering to safety regulations. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Supervise and train staff in meat cutting techniques, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures. Understand cuts of meat according to customer specifications and company standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of meat products. Implement quality control measures to ensure freshness and safety of all meat products. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the meat processing area in accordance with health regulations. Proactively find new customers and sell to existing customers. Experience Proven experience in the food industry, specifically within a meat processing or retail environment. Strong skills in meat cutting and fabrication techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Familiarity with packaging processes for various meat products. Experience working in a food processing plant is preferred. Ability to operate knives and other equipment safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
