Assistant Plant Manager

Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Plant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting plant operations, ensuring efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of our facility. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to meet production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, including production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow management
  • Implement and maintain standardized operating procedures to optimize efficiency
  • Supervise and motivate production staff to achieve performance goals
  • Work closely with the safety team to enforce and promote a strong safety culture
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and drills to ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure all products meet or exceed quality and customer standards
  • Participate in regular quality inspections and address any issues promptly
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient supply chain operations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Assist in training new employees and providing ongoing support to the team This list of duties is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that senior management may deem necessary.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Proven experience in supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a desirable skill in this position.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
