Production Manager Position:
Direct Location:
Wentzville, MO.
Salary:
$100K - $125K (depending on experience).
Hours:
8 to 5 (M-F).
Remote:
On-site, NO hybrid.

Summary:
Our client is seeking a Production Manager that is responsible for leading the Production, Machining, and Production Quality teams. This role oversees internal manufacturing and assembly operations, ensuring high-quality output, on-time job completion, and process efficiency. The Production Manager balances hands-on problem-solving with strategic thinking, driving improvements in task efficiency, rework reduction, and production scalability. This position plays a key role in supporting the company's growth by developing talent, improving workflows, and helping shape the future of our manufacturing operations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience:
5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or production.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment. Strong understanding of assembly processes, machining, and quality control practices Analytical mindset with experience evaluating capacity, time studies, and efficiency metrics. ERP or MES experience preferred (Epicor a plus). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Production, Machining, and Job Inspection (Quality) functions. Ensure on-time production through effective coordination with the Scheduling team. Promote and enforce quality standards to reduce rework and improve first-pass yield. Analyze current production and machining workflows to identify and implement efficiency improvements. Evaluate staffing, equipment, and processes needed to scale operations. Maintain and improve work instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures. Coach and develop team members, providing clear direction, feedback, and opportunities for growth. Support strategic initiatives tied to operational capacity, continuous improvement, and cost control.

Willing and able to be present on the floor to solve problems and support the team in real time.
Objectives:
Improve production efficiency through time studies, constraint analysis, and process optimization. Ensure timely completion of production and machining jobs with minimal rework. Maintain high-quality standards and reduce customer-impacting errors. Establish a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving. Support growth by helping plan for future capacity, tooling, and workforce needs. Strengthen coordination between production and scheduling to optimize throughput. #GRP2-$4000

$100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
