Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Trim/Packaging Manager to lead our packaging operations and ensure the seamless flow of production processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the entire trim and packaging functions within a manufacturing environment, driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a key member of the operations team, you will manage a team of skilled workers, coordinate with cross-functional departments, and utilize advanced manufacturing management systems to optimize output. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity while fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork. Duties Lead and manage the trim and packaging teams to meet production goals efficiently while adhering to state and quality standards. Utilize manufacturing management systems and supply chain analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive process improvements. Oversee inventory control related to trimmed materials and packaging supplies , ensuring optimal stock and supply levels. Punctuality and leading the team to follow punctual timing. Collaborate with upper management teams to coordinate raw material procurement, production planning, and logistics for smooth operations. Collaborate with upper management to ensure timely and accurate deliveries are made. Conduct regular data analysis using Microsoft Excel to evaluate production data, identify trends, and support decision-making for continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with quality control standards by implementing rigorous inspection procedures throughout the trimming and packaging processes. Foster cross-functional communication among production, quality assurance, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve issues promptly. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular training sessions for staff. Daily use and understanding of Metrc to control inventory and maintain state compliance. Experience Must be fluent and understanding of the Metrc system and usage of it for daily practices. Ability and understanding of receiving and building Metrc transports for delivery to storefronts and receiving in properly from wholesale providers. Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing setting, preferably with expertise in trim or packaging operations. Demonstrated ability to utilize scheduling systems for proper staffing and production scheduling effectively and efficiently. Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel for tracking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and process optimization. Familiarity with supply chain management principles, including logistics coordination and supply chain analytics. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery used in trimming or packaging lines is highly desirable. Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff, foster collaboration, and promote a safety-first culture with strong dependable leadership. Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration across departments involved in manufacturing operations.
