Hiring:
Plant Engineering Manager | Harrisburg, NC We're looking for an experienced Plant Engineering / Maintenance Leader to take ownership of engineering, maintenance, facilities, capital projects, safety, and environmental initiatives at a 24/7 manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to keep production running, improve equipment reliability, lead maintenance teams, and drive major plant improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering and maintenance activities across the facility
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Drive equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
- Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning
- Oversee new equipment installation, startup, and validation
- Manage facility systems, utilities, and mobile equipment
- Support environmental compliance and plant safety initiatives
- Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team
- Manage vendors, contractors, budgets, and maintenance expenditures
- Identify cost-saving and continuous improvement opportunities
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of engineering or maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing
- Experience leading maintenance teams
- Strong background in equipment reliability and preventive maintenance
- Proven experience managing capital projects and equipment installations
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge
- Experience with facility management and/or mobile equipment
- CMMS experience preferred
- Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
