Job Description

•Employnet is currently seeking a Plant Manager for a growing company in Reno, NV, pay rate $101k-$126k

•

Overview:

A Plant Manager (often structured alongside a Plant Director or Operations Manager) is responsible for the overall strategic leadership, daily production output, and regulatory compliance of the food manufacturing plant.

Core Responsibilities:
Production & Daily Operations:

Overseeing multi-shift food production lines to ensure customer orders and delivery timelines are met efficiently without sacrificing quality.

Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance:

Enforcing strict adherence to USDA, FDA, local environmental, and general corporate food safety regulations. This includes supporting food safety improvement initiatives and standard compliance audits.

Financial & Budgetary Oversight:

Managing the facility's operational budget, purchasing activities, and labor costs. They track key financial performance metrics to minimize product waste, control operational overhead, and reduce facility downtime.

Continuous Improvement:

Utilizing Lean or Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies to maximize line efficiency, optimize sanitation practices, and improve factory reliability.

Team Leadership & Safety Culture:

Promoting employee engagement, training, and onboarding. They are responsible for building a rigorous "safety first" workplace culture to protect plant staff across all shifts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Serving as the key link between the plant floor and executive leadership. They collaborate with supporting corporate divisions including Quality Assurance, Engineering, Finance, and Human Resources.
