Job Description

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Lead all manufacturing and site operations for the Watervliet Coated Abrasives plant to safely deliver quality products, reliable customer service, competitive cost, and sustainable business performance. The Plant Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across production, cloth finishing, maintenance, engineering, quality, EHS, financial performance, workforce engagement, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with Saint-Gobain policies and applicable requirements.
Your day-to-day:
  • Own site safety performance; establish a culture where safety is the priority in every task and decision.
  • Build and sustain a positive and high-performance culture emphasizing teamwork, engagement and succession plans.
  • Manage site cost, productivity, working capital, and asset utilization. Maintain a disciplined capital and modernization roadmap with validated benefits.
  • Reliable delivery of conforming products and customer commitments.
  • Implement and sustain standard work through WCM, Lean, and root-cause problem-solving.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ Years Progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, including responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and asset performance.
  • 5+ years of leadership of managers and cross-functional teams in a complex industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, cost management, capital planning, continuous improvement, and organizational development, as well as unionized manufacturing and labor relations. Preferred
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or comparable continuous improvement methods.
  • Digital manufacturing, automation, ERP, and business intelligence tools.

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position, which is $133,000 to $213,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 24% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $164,920 to $264,120. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
