Job Description

Job Summary Barrett Paving Materials is looking for a driven and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our production operations with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and team development. In this role, you'll oversee daily plant operations, optimize processes, and guide a skilled team to deliver high-quality materials that support critical infrastructure projects. Main Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing and plant operations Ensure a strong commitment to safety-first practices and regulatory compliance Oversee production scheduling to meet customer demand and operational goals Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs Supervise, coach, and develop a team of operators and plant personnel Manage budgets, production metrics, and operational reporting Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product standards are met Partner with leadership to implement strategic operational improvements Skills Proven experience in manufacturing or plant operations management Strong leadership and team development skills Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus Familiarity with construction materials, asphalt, or paving operations is beneficial Physical / Work Requirements Ability to work in an industrial/plant environment, including exposure to weather and varying temperatures Standing, walking, and occasional lifting may be required Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or extended hours during peak season Why Join Us / Benefits Be part of a company that values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement Opportunity to lead impactful projects that support community infrastructure Career growth and development opportunities within a respected organization Competitive compensation and benefits package Collaborative team environment with a strong focus on employee success Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Pay:
$120,000.00 - $191,000.00 per year
