POSITION SUMMARY ATIC
is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations within a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for safety, quality, production, employee leadership, financial performance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and collaboration skills, experience working with cross-functional teams, and a proven background managing unionized manufacturing operations .
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Business, or related field preferred/required. 10+ years of plant or manufacturing management experience. 2+ years of direct management/supervisory experience. Strong leadership and employee development experience. Proven experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment . Understanding of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, grievance resolution, and union/labor relations. Strong collaboration with HR, Finance, Quality, Maintenance, Materials, Purchasing, and Production. Experience with budgets, performance metrics, cost control, and process improvement. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations, including production, assembly, quality, maintenance, and materials. Establish production goals and monitor performance, efficiency, and financial results. Provide leadership, coaching, and development for production employees. Partner with HR and Labor Relations on employee relations, contract interpretation, grievances, and day-to-day union interactions. Maintain a positive labor-management relationship and ensure consistent application of collective bargaining agreements. Support hiring, training, and workforce development. Identify and implement cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives. Develop and manage departmental budgets. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards. Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of production equipment and facilities. Promote effective communication and collaboration across departments.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in both office and manufacturing-floor environments and may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and inspection/testing equipment. PPE is required in designated areas. The position may occasionally require standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. ATIC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #ind1
