Responsible for keeping production lines running efficiently to meet production goals.
Assists with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.
Assists Director of Operations with planning and coordinating all packaging operations. Works with the Operations Manager and Director to focus on areas of improvement. Implement a plan to decrease the changeover times while increasing the overall output of the machinery.
Focus on cleanliness of the area and assigning crews to maintain the progress.
Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify inventory as it relates to forecasting, planning, procuring and replenishing process.
Managing day-to-day operation workload and prioritize the workload to maintain production needs.
Provide guidance or mentorship to other team members whenever is require.
Schedule the packaging process and departmental activities relating to material, employee, and equipment availability.
Monitor packaging process, workflow, and schedules to ensure on-time completion of lot / batch.
Create a WIPS packaging configuration for each lot on the secondary packaging schedule.
Ensure all secondary packaging procedures and forms are accurate and up to date. Implement changes/ new procedures when necessary.
Ensure all employees have the proper training and means to perform their job requirements.
Assist packaging trainer in the development of new employee trainings.
Present and explain new packaging / logistics strategies to Director of Operations.
Analyze, develops, determines and implements policies, procedures and programs.
Set packaging goals within the department report findings and recommendations to Director of secondary packaging.
Perform administrative duties to include personnel roster, personnel scheduling, and monitoring the production line.
Knowledge & Skills:
Detail oriented, ability to work independently as a self-started, dependable and ability to supervise and motivate up to 250 employees.
Previous supervisory training preferred

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Health Policy or Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing / packaging work experience required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role.

Position requires bending (waist to floor), lifting (up to 20 lbs), reaching (waist to head), vision (20/20), standing (30%), sitting (30%), hearing, typing, talking and walking (30%).
