Production Manager - Custom Metal Fabrication Tuscan Iron Entries is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at our facility in Collierville, Tennessee. We manufacture high-end custom steel doors, windows, and architectural products in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment where craftsmanship, quality, and on-time delivery are critical. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable on the shop floor, understands manufacturing workflow, and knows how to keep people and projects moving efficiently. Responsibilities The Production Manager will oversee the daily activities of approximately 30 production employees and coordinate work through fabrication, welding, machining, finishing, and assembly.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage daily production activities and shop personnel Prioritize and schedule jobs to meet production deadlines Coordinate workflow between fabrication, welding, CNC/laser operations, powder coating, and final assembly Identify production bottlenecks and help resolve them quickly Monitor employee productivity, workmanship, attendance, and accountability Maintain realistic production schedules Improve labor efficiency and workflow Establish and track measurable production goals Work closely with engineering, purchasing, sales, and company leadership Maintain high standards for quality and craftsmanship Assist with hiring, training, and employee development Help implement standardized manufacturing processes Promote a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Assist with ERP/MRP and production tracking systems Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the shop Ideal Candidate We are looking for a practical manufacturing leader who can effectively manage people while understanding how work actually moves through a fabrication shop. The right person should be able to walk the production floor, recognize problems, communicate clearly with employees, and make decisions that keep production moving. Strong leadership, organization, follow-through, and accountability are essential. Preferred Experience Experience in several of the following areas is preferred: Steel or aluminum manufacturing MIG welding and fabrication CNC manufacturing equipment Laser cutting Powder coating or industrial finishing Custom or made-to-order manufacturing Low-volume / high-mix manufacturing Production scheduling Lean manufacturing Continuous improvement ERP or MRP manufacturing systems Quality control Labor and productivity management Experience with architectural metal products, doors, windows, ornamental iron, or similar custom fabrication is a plus. Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing and metal fabrication experience required 2-3+ years of production leadership or supervisory experience preferred Experience managing manufacturing employees Strong understanding of production workflow and scheduling Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive working environment Strong communication skills Comfortable using computers and manufacturing software Ability to work closely with company ownership and other departments A college degree is not required . Relevant manufacturing experience, leadership ability, and demonstrated results are more important.
