This opportunity is for the individual who wants challenge and to be part of a growing, expanding successful company.
Description:
You will evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Improve operational efficiencies while reducing cost and waste by design & fabrication of prototypes, tooling, & equipment. You will also be involved in improving material efficiencies and reducing material waste, conducting time studies, vendor communication, & soliciting observations from the production team.
Requirements:
Our team's success is dependent on your ability to combine technical expertise with project management execution and quality systems knowledge. You will be relied on to self-manage projects while building relationships with production, quality, maintenance, tooling, and engineering. You will be presented with manufacturing challenges, and it will be up to you to drive solutions through concept, design, prototyping, development, and engineering change orders. Willingness for minimal travel is required
Education, Training and Experience:
The candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of plastics processing principles and hands-on experience with lean manufacturing. In addition, solid knowledge of plant infrastructure and general plant utilities is required. This role will be heavily involved in quality systems as well, so a strong quality knowledge base is preferred.
