Monday-Friday Powder-X is looking for an experienced, professional Production Manager to take charge of our manufacturing operation in Manchester, Tennessee. We are looking for someone who understands that a successful production floor requires leadership, accountability, organization, communication, and hands-on manufacturing experience . This is a position for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, solving problems, and keeping production moving. The right person will be a strong leader who is not afraid to take charge while maintaining a professional and respectful work environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage and coordinate daily manufacturing and production activities Organize the production floor to keep jobs moving efficiently and on schedule Assign work and provide direction to production employees Monitor production progress, quality, material usage, and deadlines Identify production problems and take action to resolve them Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and Shipping to ensure orders move smoothly through production Review drawings, parts lists, and production requirements Help establish and maintain efficient manufacturing processes Ensure employees are following proper procedures and production standards Maintain accountability for productivity, quality, attendance, and workmanship Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve efficiency Help ensure equipment is properly operated, maintained, and cared for Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment Assist with training and development of production employees Step in and help on the floor when necessary Communicate production issues and needs to management promptly Take ownership of problems rather than allowing them to continue
EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
Manufacturing or production leadership experience Experience working in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment Ability to confidently lead and direct employees Strong understanding of production processes and workflow Professional communication and organizational skills Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and specifications Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and deadlines Strong problem-solving skills Dependable, accountable, and willing to take ownership
Strongly Preferred:
Experience operating or managing a CNC laser Experience with a Mitsubishi laser Experience operating or managing a Cincinnati press brake Press brake setup and/or programming experience Experience with sheet-metal fabrication Experience coordinating laser cutting, press brake, welding, assembly, coating, or similar manufacturing processes Direct experience with both laser and press brake operations is a major advantage, but candidates with strong experience in either area are encouraged to apply.

We need someone who can lead the floor, understand the equipment, manage workflow, and make things happen.

Powder-X is a manufacturing company specializing in powder coating systems and equipment . Our operation involves engineering, sheet-metal fabrication, laser cutting, press brake forming, assembly, powder coating, quality control, and shipping. The Production Manager will play an important role in bringing these areas together and ensuring our manufacturing operation runs efficiently and professionally.

Pay:
$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
