Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Digitalization Group Leader to support a newly formed organization focused on modernizing manufacturing operations through digitalization, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions. This individual will serve as the bridge between plant operations and software development teams, ensuring digital tools solve real shop-floor challenges and improve efficiency across manufacturing. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing leadership experience, understands plant operations firsthand, and can translate operational needs into requirements for IT and development teams.
Responsibilities:
  •  Act as the voice of manufacturing operations for digitalization initiatives.
  •  Gather requirements from plant personnel and document Statements of Requirements (SORs) for development teams.
  •  Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities to reduce manual processes, paper-based work, and disconnected systems.
  •  Partner with manufacturing, IT, and software development teams to deploy digital solutions.
  •  Support creation of a "single pane of glass" experience across manufacturing systems.
  •  Review and document process flows, operating procedures, safety requirements, and audit processes.
  •  Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, reporting, presentations, and communication.
  •  Travel to manufacturing plants to observe operations and gather feedback from end users.
  •  Support testing, deployment, and adoption of newly developed applications and workflows.
  •  Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Compensation Starting At:
$38/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.   •  Manufacturing leadership experience (Group Leader, Area Manager, Supervisor, or similar).
  •  Strong knowledge of day-to-day plant operations.
  •  Experience with manpower planning, layered audits, safety processes, SOPs, and employee performance management.
  •  Ability to communicate effectively with both operations and IT teams.
  •  Experience gathering business requirements and translating operational needs into technical requirements.
  •  Understanding of process mapping and workflow improvement.
  •  Familiarity with AI tools and modern productivity technologies.
  •  Previous GM manufacturing experience.
  •  Experience supporting manufacturing digitalization initiatives.
  •  Experience using Glean, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar AI tools.
  •  Experience working with manufacturing systems, MES, ERP, quality systems, or custom applications.
