Duties:
Oversee the development and implementation of the strategic vision and business plan within their assigned business unit. The Area Manager is responsible for 24/7 ownership of an entire area or business unit. True ownership of an entire area or business unit. Overseeing financial ownership, approvals, cost savings, KPI's, people staffing, scheduling, planning, ensuring training of employees, development of staff, execution of CAPEX, leading projects, & performance management. Attending specified meetings and providing detailed reports to the operations manager or plant manager. Ensuring production goals & product specifications are met. Resolving issues as they arise and monitoring the production process. Communicating cross functional to resolve issues and working with other departments to quickly rectify issues. Leading the training lead the Area Manager is accountable for area team being trained and cross trained. Ensure overall conformance for all company policies, GMP, and housekeeping. Establishing bench strength within the area and talent assessments. Leading the daily direction of the OPEX process lead the Area Manager is accountable to OEE initiatives in their business unit. Leading, participating, and directing the initiatives in the business unit.
Requirements:
Bachelor's (or foreign equivalent degree) in Industrial Engineering, Production Management or a related field and 5 years experience in production management or project management, evidencing successful commercialization and knowledge in continuous improvement.
