Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to step into the role of Assistant to Head of Manufacturing. This pivotal position offers an exciting opportunity to lead manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize production processes in our facility. We are a leader in the recreational and medical cannabis manufacturing space. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for manufacturing excellence, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of production management systems. We also require candidates to have a strong understanding of basic algebra, close attention for detail and the ability to plan ahead strategically. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient production scheduling, quality control, and supply chain coordination, all while fostering a culture of lean management and operational excellence. Responsibilities Assist or oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with company goals for efficiency, quality, and safety. Assist/Lead production management activities including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation using company standards and IOS structure. Drive continuous improvement initiatives employing lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce waste. Develop and implement process improvements through data analysis in Excel and other tools to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness. Ensure compliance with quality control standards AND Vermont set cannabis standards while maintaining mechanical knowledge of assembly lines, equipment maintenance, and process troubleshooting. Promote safety protocols and uphold best practices in lean management to sustain a safe working environment for all team members. Experience Strong background in cannabis manufacturing, Cannabis related experience is also a plus. However, we will train the right candidate if opportunity presents. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel data analysis for reporting trends, identifying bottlenecks, and supporting decision-making processes. Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments such as engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and operations management.
