This position manages project scheduling, field production, crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, quality control, customer communication, and job profitability. The Production Manager serves as the primary link between the office, field technicians, project managers, subcontractors, customers, insurance professionals, and management. The goal of this position is to ensure projects are completed safely, professionally, on schedule, within budget, and to company standards. Key ResponsibilitiesJob & Production Management Oversee mitigation and reconstruction projects from start to finish. Review new job assignments and determine labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor requirements. Schedule and dispatch production crews and subcontractors. Establish project timelines and ensure work stays on schedule. Monitor daily production and make adjustments when delays or unforeseen conditions arise. Coordinate mitigation with reconstruction to ensure a smooth transition between phases. Conduct regular jobsite inspections and verify that work is being completed according to scope. Ensure jobs are properly documented with photos, notes, measurements, moisture readings, and other required documentation. Identify change orders, additional work, and unforeseen conditions and communicate them to management/customer/insurance representatives as appropriate. Coordinate permits, inspections, and required documentation when applicable. Mitigation Operations Oversee water, fire, mold, and other restoration mitigation projects. Ensure proper equipment placement, monitoring, removal, and documentation. Verify drying goals are being met and equipment is adjusted appropriately. Ensure containment, PPE, negative air, demolition, cleaning, and disposal procedures are followed when required. Ensure technicians follow company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards. Review mitigation documentation before the job moves into reconstruction. Reconstruction Operations Coordinate framing, drywall, painting, flooring, cabinets, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and other reconstruction trades. Schedule subcontractors and verify that subcontractors arrive prepared and on time. Confirm materials are ordered and available before scheduling work. Monitor workmanship and address deficiencies immediately. Coordinate inspections and walkthroughs. Maintain project schedules and communicate delays before they become major problems. Complete final quality-control inspections before customer walkthrough. Customer & Insurance Communication Maintain professional communication with homeowners throughout the project. Provide customers with updates regarding scheduling, progress, delays, and completion. Help resolve customer concerns and complaints. Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters, property managers, realtors, and other project stakeholders. Ensure customer expectations are clearly established before work begins. Escalate major customer, insurance, or project issues to company management. Team Management Manage and supervise production technicians, laborers, project managers, and subcontractors as assigned. Assign daily responsibilities and verify completion. Train employees on company procedures, safety, documentation, and production expectations. Monitor employee performance and productivity. Hold employees accountable for quality, attendance, communication, and jobsite professionalism. Assist management with hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations when requested. Materials, Equipment & Inventory Monitor company equipment and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Track equipment movement between jobs. Ensure crews have the necessary tools, PPE, and materials before arriving at a jobsite. Coordinate material ordering and deliveries. Monitor material usage and minimize waste. Report damaged, missing, or improperly maintained equipment. Financial & Production Control Monitor job costs and production efficiency. Track labor hours, subcontractor costs, materials, equipment, and other production expenses. Help ensure projects remain within approved budgets. Identify potential cost overruns early and notify management. Review scopes of work and identify missing or incorrect items. Assist with change orders and supplemental work documentation. Work with estimating and administrative staff to ensure completed work is properly documented for billing. Quality Control Perform routine jobsite inspections. Verify workmanship meets company standards and applicable building requirements. Identify incomplete or defective work. Create punch lists and ensure deficiencies are corrected. Conduct final quality-control inspections before project completion. Ensure jobsites are clean, safe, and professionally maintained. Safety & Compliance Enforce company safety policies and procedures. Ensure employees use appropriate PPE. Ensure jobs are performed in compliance with applicable

OSHA/DOSH

requirements and company safety procedures. Report accidents, injuries, property damage, and safety violations immediately. Ensure hazardous materials and contaminated materials are handled and disposed of appropriately. Participate in safety meetings and employee training. Daily Expectations The Production Manager is expected to: Review all active projects each morning. Review today's scheduled work and crew assignments. Confirm subcontractors and material deliveries. Identify jobs that are behind schedule or experiencing issues. Communicate with customers regarding important schedule updates. Conduct jobsite visits as needed. Review production documentation and photographs. Monitor labor and material costs. Address customer, employee, subcontractor, and jobsite issues promptly. Prepare the following day's production schedule. Provide management with updates on major project issues and financial concerns. Performance Expectations / KPIs Performance may be evaluated based on: Jobs completed on schedule. Gross profit and job profitability. Labor efficiency. Production efficiency. Change-order identification and documentation. Customer satisfaction. Quality-control results. Number of callbacks and warranty issues. Subcontractor performance. Proper job documentation. Equipment utilization. Employee productivity. Safety performance. Overall project cycle time. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in restoration, construction, mitigation, or related field preferred. Previous supervisory or production-management experience preferred. Knowledge of water mitigation and reconstruction processes. Ability to read scopes of work, estimates, and basic construction plans. Strong understanding of residential construction. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency situations when necessary. Preferred Certifications Preferred qualifications may include: IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, or related certifications. OSHA safety training. Lead-safe work practices/certification when applicable. Mold remediation training where required. Construction or contractor experience. Authority & Accountability The Production Manager is responsible for making day-to-day production decisions necessary to keep projects moving. However, significant changes involving major customer disputes, substantial additional costs, major schedule changes, employee termination, or significant financial commitments must be escalated to company management. The Production Manager is ultimately accountable for ensuring that assigned projects are properly staffed, properly scheduled, properly documented, completed safely, completed to company standards, and completed profitably.
