A Day in the Role Start of shift: You kick off with a safety huddle and a quick review of KPIs — safety, quality, delivery, and productivity — aligning the team to the day's targets and customer commitments.

Mid-morning:

You balance staffing, adjust schedules, and reallocate work to meet changing priorities. You're on the floor coaching, answering questions, and ensuring work instructions and technical drawings are understood.

You facilitate 5S audits, lead a Kaizen burst, and support cross-training to boost flexibility and safety. You check-in with team members, document feedback, and prepare notes for performance reviews.

Throughout the day:

You work hand-in-hand with Engineering, Quality, and other functions to resolve material, tooling, and process issues, keeping customer schedules on track. What You'll Lead Daily direction and coordination of production personnel to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals. Real-time adjustments to workflow and staffing to meet customer requirements and schedule changes. Hands-on leadership, coaching, and skills development; promote cross-training for flexibility and safety. Compliance with company safety rules, quality standards, policies, and manufacturing procedures. Monitoring output, downtime, efficiency, and other KPIs; drive corrective actions. Troubleshooting equipment, material, tooling, and process concerns with support from Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality. Support of preventive maintenance plans for equipment and tooling. Leadership of Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe production environment. Conducting performance evaluations and delivering timely feedback. What You Bring 5+ years in manufacturing with proven supervisory or team lead experience. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and people-development capabilities. Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes; experience with press operations or comparable machinery preferred. Mechanical aptitude with solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings, job travelers, and work instructions. Familiarity with Lean principles, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement. Experience with manufacturing systems and production tracking (ERP/MRP). Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Physical Demands & Environment Frequent time on the production floor: walking, standing, and bending for extended periods. Occasional lifting and moving of materials up to 50 pounds.
