Our projects include site development, underground utilities, roadway construction, and public infrastructure work throughout the Tampa Bay area. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Earthwork Foreman to support our team in the Brandon/Riverview area. The Earthwork Foreman oversees daily earthwork operations, including excavation, grading, site preparation, and related construction activities. This position leads field crews, coordinates equipment and resources, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, including dozers, excavators, loaders, and motor graders, and can step in to operate equipment as needed. Supervise and direct earthwork crews engaged in clearing, grubbing, excavation, grading, embankment, and site preparation activities. Coordinate daily work assignments and equipment utilization to maximize productivity. Read and interpret construction plans, grades, stakes, and specifications. Verify grading operations are completed to project requirements and tolerances. Monitor project progress and communicate production goals with crew members. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Conduct daily safety meetings and jobsite inspections. Coordinate with survey crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and utility companies as needed. Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs. Maintain accurate daily reports and production quantities. Train and mentor crew members. Operate dozers, excavators, loaders, motor graders, and other heavy equipment as needed. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in earthwork, grading, site development, or heavy civil construction. Previous foreman or supervisory experience preferred. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards. Valid driver's license. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to traverse active construction sites safely. Ability to work extended hours when required.
