Bristol, IN Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Production Supervisor is expected to oversee day-to-day production to ensure that the required performance and quality standards are achieved. The role will be to oversee production staff, leading them to produce high-quality items at a pace that meets labor-set and yield-set standards. The role will ensure that machines are operational and that materials are on-site, so that production runs smoothly. The qualified individual should have previous experience of working in a food manufacturing environment and should have the people and operational skills to ensure that production runs smoothly. The successful candidate should be a strong people manager and should have strong organizational skills to ensure that production levels and quality meet the expected standards. Oversee and monitor day-to-day production to ensure that performance and quality standards are achieved. Create daily work schedules to ensure that lines are sufficiently manned. Lead a team to produce high-quality items at a pace that meets labor-set and yield-set standards. Oversee employee performance, providing guidance and support and identifying development needs. Coordinate with other departments as necessary to ensure on-time and smooth start-up. Monitor inventory and coordinate the materials required to accomplish the daily schedule. Maintain and improve production processes. Perform analysis to ensure compliance with customer specifications while maintaining the AOP. Ensure that all checks and documentation are completed, performing regular quality and safety audits. Liaise as necessary with maintenance to ensure that machines are kept running at an optimum level. Manage day-to-day issues that arise. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred Education:
Associate degree in Operations or Manufacturing Management or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Two or more years of manufacturing experience in the food industry. Experience of using Lean methodologies is preferred.
