Role Description:
Provide daily support, knowledge, and leadership to the team to meet all Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity measures.
Responsibilities:
The Area Manager has the authority, responsibility, and accountability to provide leadership to lead the area, department, and line employees.
This includes:
  • Oversee the function of one or more Team Leaders within an area or several areas within the factory.
  • Coordinate the production activities of the department/line.
  • Ensure that department employees have adequate tools, supplies, and equipment to perform their job duties.
  • Ensure department employees have adequate training for the process they are performing.
  • Coach and direct employees in quality expectations, daily task direction, performance, skills development, and housekeeping.
  • Review work of department/line employees for compliance to quality standards, tolerances, and material specifications.
  • Communicate performance goals to department/line employees.
  • Complete timesheets for hourly employees to ensure accurate paychecks.
  • Support Quality Policy and Safety Policy.
  • Support the Vision & Guiding Principles of Kimball International
  • Hold annual performance feedback for applicable team members
  • Attendance and performance management
  • Performs duties and tasks as assigned.
  • Promote and lead teams in CI activities that help to improve the plants KPI's.
  • Hold weekly meetings with team leads quality, safety, and process engineering to address/progress on CI targets.
