Role Description:
Provide daily support, knowledge, and leadership to the team to meet all Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity measures.
Responsibilities:
The Area Manager has the authority, responsibility, and accountability to provide leadership to lead the area, department, and line employees.
This includes:
Oversee the function of one or more Team Leaders within an area or several areas within the factory.
Coordinate the production activities of the department/line.
Ensure that department employees have adequate tools, supplies, and equipment to perform their job duties.
Ensure department employees have adequate training for the process they are performing.
Coach and direct employees in quality expectations, daily task direction, performance, skills development, and housekeeping.
Review work of department/line employees for compliance to quality standards, tolerances, and material specifications.
Communicate performance goals to department/line employees.
Complete timesheets for hourly employees to ensure accurate paychecks.
Support Quality Policy and Safety Policy.
Support the Vision & Guiding Principles of Kimball International
Hold annual performance feedback for applicable team members
Attendance and performance management
Performs duties and tasks as assigned.
Promote and lead teams in CI activities that help to improve the plants KPI's.
Hold weekly meetings with team leads quality, safety, and process engineering to address/progress on CI targets.
