Job Summary The Production Supervisor plans, directs and coordinates the production activities to meet the production schedule. Directs all manufacturing operations for efficient and economical production at the lowest cost consistent with quality standards and delivery dates by performing the following job duties. 2nd
Shift Hours:
2:30pm - 1:00am, Monday - Thursday Key Responsibilities Promote a safe work environment by training team members, communicating expectations, and following company safety programs. Support compliance with Prince Industries quality certifications, company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Coordinate production activities with scheduling, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to meet priorities, production goals, and resource needs. Review production and operational reports to identify nonconformance issues and support corrective actions. Set up, start, restart, and operate machines; adjust tooling, work offsets, part zero, speeds, and feeds to meet part specifications. Verify workpiece conformance using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges. Secure required tooling, instruments, workholding, fixtures, and workpieces for production operations. Perform basic preventative machine maintenance, including coolant checks, filter checks, fan operation, and machine cleaning. Recommend and support required training for production personnel to improve company and individual performance. Respond to communications in a timely manner and complete additional responsibilities as assigned, including department transfers to meet production needs. Performs personnel tasks with the assistance of the Human Resources Department as needed, to effectively maintain departmental staff, such as: weekly timecard review and approval conducting performance reviews interviewing and training addressing complaints investigating and resolving employee issues Additional responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills & Competencies Excellent communication skills required effectively communicate in both oral and written form and interact with all levels of the company. Excellent computer skills to effectively generate reports and input required data. Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills are required to prioritize urgent matters and perform multiple tasks concurrently in order to complete work assignments. Education and Experience Previous supervisory experience is required. Must possess a bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years' of hands on CNC Machining experience in machine shop environment. Certification, formal training or continued education desired. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Regularly required to walk or sit the duration of workday, 8-9 hours. Frequently may lift, push or pull up to 45 lbs. Frequently required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, reach or bend. Frequently required to perform repetitive hand movements when doing computer work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in which 20/20 vision or corrected vision to 20/20 vision is required.
