We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our production team and create a culture of accountability, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for directing daily operations, supervising production employees, coordinating labor and equipment resources, enforcing company policies, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This is not a desk job. The ideal candidate is a visible leader who is comfortable spending time in the field, coaching employees, addressing performance issues, solving operational challenges, and setting standards for professionalism and accountability. What You'll Do Leadership & Team Management Supervise and direct daily activities of production employees. Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and daily production goals. Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, and overall job performance. Coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback and performance discussions.
• Conduct employee coaching, corrective action, and performance management discussions when necessary. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees. Promote a culture of accountability, respect, professionalism, and teamwork. Identify and develop future leaders within the organization. Production Operations Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and resources to meet production schedules. Manage crew assignments and daily workforce scheduling. Monitor workflow, production output, and labor efficiency. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve productivity. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to quality standards. Maintain accountability for equipment usage, job site organization, and company assets. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency. Safety & Compliance Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Lead and support safety committee initiatives. Conduct job-site inspections, safety meetings, and safety training. Ensure compliance with company vehicles, equipment, and workplace policies. Investigate incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions. Address safety concerns immediately and professionally. Maintain a drug-free, alcohol-free, and professional work environment. Performance & Accountability Help develop, track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Production output Labor efficiency Overtime usage Quality and rework issues Safety performance Attendance and employee reliability Utilize performance metrics to improve accountability and operational results. Recommend process improvements, staffing adjustments, and operational efficiencies. Administration & Communication Complete reports, employee documentation, and production records. Maintain accurate jobsite, equipment, and project documentation. Communicate staffing needs, productivity concerns, and operational challenges to leadership. Participate in operational planning and workforce discussions. Maintain professional communication with employees, customers, vendors, and leadership. Qualifications Required High school diploma or
GED. 3-5
years of experience in production, manufacturing, construction, operations, landscaping, or related industries. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience. Proven ability to hold employees accountable and consistently enforce standards. Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technology. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Preferred Experience leading field-based or blue-collar workforces. OSHA certification or strong safety leadership experience. Experience with employee coaching, performance management, and disciplinary processes. Experience managing multiple crews and job sites. • Company vehicle during working hours + company-provided cell phone Schedule & Work Expectations This is a full-time hands-on leadership role requiring a visible presence in the field and active support of production operations. The Production Supervisor is expected to work the hours necessary to effectively lead crews and support operations. Monday-Friday 45-50 hours per week Additional hours may be required during peak production periods, weather events, staffing shortages, or special projects, additional hours may be required to support operations and ensure customer commitments are met. The successful candidate will maintain a visible presence with employees and actively support production operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
