Production Reports to: Assistant Production Manager About the Role Directs workflow in the production area on assigned shift by managing employees and projects. Partners with support groups as needed to keep the line running safely and on schedule. Responsibilities Oversee and direct production employees in a safe, quality-focused, and productive manner with a sense of urgency to hit production priorities Remove obstacles to ensure production requirements and customer demands are met Keep direct reports focused and on task to meet department objectives Run effective daily pre-shift meetings and other team communication Report production status and concerns to the Production Manager and plant leadership Follow established escalation procedures Support plant operating principles, including:- Treating all employees equally, fairly, and with dignity and respect Maintaining an open-door policy and encouraging two-way communication Responding to issues and concerns within 48 hours Practicing 5S ("everything has a place, everything in its place") Leading by example on safety — wearing PPE at all times and addressing concerns immediately, promoting a zero-injury environment Upholding company quality and environmental policies Support plant goals around employee engagement/opinion surveys Conduct performance evaluations, provide regular feedback, and apply corrective action plans and fair progressive discipline as needed Maintain accurate associate documentation Model core values consistently Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to improve methods and equipment Adjust shifts as necessary Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Direct responsibility for production employees and team leaders on the assigned shift. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred Strong organizational and managerial skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities Proficient in computer operations High integrity and honesty Able to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, and business documents Able to present information and respond to questions from various groups Able to apply advanced math concepts as needed Able to define problems, gather data, and draw sound conclusions Able to stay positive under pressure Able to calculate OA (operational availability) and downtime per assembly line Work Environment General factory environment.

Equipment Troubleshooting Automotive Manufacturing Systems Meets Physical Requirements High School / GED Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Basic Computer Skills Microsoft Excel
