Position Summary Starting Wage dependent upon experience. Hurtt Fabricating Corp. Hurtt Fabricating is seeking a motivated and dependable Manufacturing Team Lead (Working Lead) to join our production team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working alongside employees while helping coordinate the daily activities of the department. The Working Lead will work closely with the Plant Supervisor to maintain a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment while helping ensure production schedules and quality expectations are met. Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead by example while actively working alongside team members.
• Assist the Plant Supervisor with coordinating daily workflow and production priorities.
• Help guide, train, and provide direction to employees within the assigned area.
• Work throughout the Cut, Prep, and Finish departments as production needs require.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and production equipment as required.
• Help ensure employees follow established safety procedures and company policies.
• Monitor workflow and communicate production issues or concerns to the Plant Supervisor.
• Work with production, quality, maintenance, and other departments to help resolve problems and keep production moving.
• Promote quality workmanship, productivity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Assist with material movement and job setup as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities
• Must have hands-on experience operating manufacturing equipment and a working knowledge of machinery used in a production environment.
• Must have the mechanical ability and willingness to quickly learn and become proficient with the machines and equipment used within the assigned area.
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial experience required.
• Previous leadership, lead-person, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with welding symbols is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.

Pay:

$17.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
