You'll guide daily work, interpret technical drawings, and help ensure equipment and materials are ready for the job.

Clear direction and consistent safety practices help crews complete reliable work and protect coworkers and customers. Duties Supervise industrial tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, fabrication, assembly, and waterblasting activities. Assign work, coordinate equipment and materials, and reinforce safety protocol adherence, including safe use of cranes, forklifts, and rigging. Review blueprints, schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical drawings; verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Support metal and sheet metal fabrication, ductwork, pipe threading, machining, plasma cutting, and press brake operations. Check work quality and ensure welding practices align with applicable American Welding Society (AWS) standards and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) codes and standards. Experience Welding and fabrication experience, including TIG, metal inert gas (MIG), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), and stick welding, also known as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Familiarity with gas metal arc welding, soldering, metal materials, mechanical fabrication, and manufacturing or fabrication shop work. Ability to read blueprints and schematics, apply shop and basic math, and use hand and power tools. Mechanical knowledge and experience with construction sites or other construction work; experience with assembly and waterblasting is valuable. Crane, forklift, rigging, and safety experience preferred.

Pay:

$87,500.00 - $93,000.00 per year
