Production Supervisor -
Night Shift Night Shift Schedule:
7:00PM-7:30AM Comstock Metals is at the forefront of responsible, zero-landfill solar panel recycling, transforming end-of-life materials into valuable resources for the domestic supply chain. As the company scales its industry-leading recycling operations, we are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor . This role supervises production personnel, manages workflow and equipment utilization, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. The Production Supervisor serves as a key link between management and production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and teamwork.

To succeed as Production Supervisor, you should have: High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, recycling, metals, mining, or related operations. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to lead and motivate production teams. Working knowledge of production processes, equipment operations, workplace safety practices, and industrial environments. Ability to analyze operational data, monitor performance, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems; experience with metal recycling, materials processing, mining, or manufacturing is preferred. OSHA safety training or other relevant industry certifications preferred. Ability to work in industrial and outdoor environments, perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds, and wear required PPE around heavy equipment and machinery. Your responsibilities as Production Supervisor will include: Production Operations Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet operational goals, schedules, customer requirements, and quality standards. Monitor workflow, equipment performance, staffing, and production metrics to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to address equipment issues, schedule preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate production records. Team Leadership Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees while promoting accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Conduct shift meetings and communicate production priorities, safety expectations, and operational updates. Safety & Compliance Enforce company safety policies, conduct routine inspections, investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations applicable to metals processing and recycling operations. Quality & Continuous Improvement Monitor product quality and process consistency while identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost performance. Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Inventory & Material Management Coordinate material flow, inventory usage, production scheduling, yields, scrap rates, and material recovery to optimize operational efficiency. Collaborate with procurement, logistics, warehouse, and other teams to ensure adequate material availability and support production needs.
