Dimar Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead evening production in our precision metal fabrication facility in Cheektowaga, NY. In this hands-on role, you will oversee a team of operators supporting fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly for aerospace, defense, transportation, and industrial customers. Responsibilities include organizing shift work, maintaining schedule adherence, enforcing safety and quality standards, coordinating with quality and engineering, and driving continuous improvement. You will mentor team members, resolve shop-floor issues, and ensure a reliable, efficient, and safe operation on 2nd shift. Responsibilities Lead and supervise 2nd shift production team in a precision metal fabrication environment Assign work, monitor workflow, and adjust resources to meet production schedules and quality standards Ensure adherence to safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements Coordinate with quality, engineering, and maintenance to resolve issues and minimize downtime Train, coach, and evaluate operators to build skills and support continuous improvement Monitor performance metrics and drive throughput, waste reduction, and on-time delivery Conduct shift start-up meetings and complete shift reports and handoffs Oversee proper use and care of machinery, tools, and inspection equipment Support implementation of lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives Address shop-floor problems promptly and escalate complex issues as needed Required Skills Shift supervision Production scheduling Metal fabrication processes CNC machining basics Welding operations familiarity Blueprint and technical drawing reading Quality inspection and measurement tools Safety and OSHA compliance Lean manufacturing principles Team leadership and coaching
