Job Summary Shift Hours:
430pm

  • Monday
  • Friday (Occasional Saturdays) First Step Staffing is hiring a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead employees and oversee daily operations on the PM shift in a fast-paced production and manufacturing environment.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for employee supervision, workforce management, attendance, productivity, quality, safety, GMP compliance, performance management, and ensuring daily production goals . This position requires a strong floor presence and someone who can lead employees, solve problems quickly, and keep production running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Supervise daily production operations, production employees, workflow, staffing levels, attendance, productivity, quality, and employee performance throughout the PM shift. Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, training, performance management, employee development, conflict resolution, and corrective action while maintaining a strong presence on the production floor. Monitor production schedules, production output, efficiency, downtime, labor utilization, quality standards, KPIs, and daily production goals and address issues that could impact performance. Enforce workplace safety, PPE, GMP, food safety, quality control, sanitation, OSHA, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while identifying and correcting unsafe conditions. Communicate with production management, maintenance, quality, sanitation, staffing, and other departments regarding staffing needs, equipment issues, employee concerns, production delays, shift performance, and operational priorities. Requirements Previous experience in production supervision, manufacturing supervision, warehouse supervision, operations supervision, team leadership, production lead, or high-volume workforce management preferred. Experience supervising and coaching employees in a production, manufacturing, food processing, packaging, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment . Strong understanding of attendance management, employee performance, productivity, production goals, quality standards, workplace safety, and workforce management . Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, conflict resolution, decision-making, coaching, and people-management skills . Ability to work independently, make decisions quickly, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Must be available to work the required PM shift and additional hours as needed based on production demands. Experience with GMP, food manufacturing, food processing, production lines, packaging equipment, quality control, sanitation, OSHA, safety procedures, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, KPIs, production reporting, and Microsoft Excel is a plus.
