Job Description
Stewart's Shops is eager to add a Dairy Production Supervisor to our Distribution Center and Manufacturing Plant located in Saratoga Springs, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to be a crucial part of our award-winning Dairy team!
Duties:
- Develop a work environment that promotes trust, teamwork, quality, and safety.
- Ensure that good manufacturing practices, facility hygiene and housekeeping are maintained.
- Write and implement S.O.P.s
- Conduct product and plant quality inspections and always be inspection ready.
- Coordinate and maintain ordering of all parts and products.
- Build teams through strategic hiring and consistent training.
- Manage performance through quarterly reviews (share agreements)
- Majority of the Supervisor's time will be spent on the floor (at least 60-70%.
Requirements:
- Manufacturing experience and at least 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
- Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated and communicative.
- Safety conscious, trustworthy, and reliable.
- Open to delivering and receiving feedback on-floor and during share agreements.
- Learn and supervise all areas within the Dairy department.
- Mechanically inclined to implement preventive maintenance program.
- Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Schedule & Pay:
- Full-time position available.
- Starting pay range is $27-36/hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule varies depending on production needs including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Must be willing to fill in for vacations and call ins as needed.
