$70,000 - $85,000 per year + Bonus (commensurate with experience) Job Summary We are seeking an engaging, hands-on Production Supervisor to join our team in Willsboro, NY. In this role, you will lead floor operations during the 3rd shift, driving safety, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and team development. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who excels at fostering positive team environments while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and production goals.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership:
Plan, direct, and supervise daily plant production activities to meet customer demand and delivery targets.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Conduct root-cause investigations for safety incidents and implement corrective action promptly.
Team Development:
Coach, mentor, and hold crew members accountable. Recognize team achievements and build a collaborative workplace culture.
Continuous Improvement:
Work alongside engineers, maintenance staff, and operators to eliminate bottlenecks, minimize downtime, reduce waste, and track KPIs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Maintenance, Packaging, Shipping, and Customer Service to streamline operations and ensure on-time delivery.
Qualifications Experience:
Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (4+ years preferred; background in manufacturing, operations, or transportation welcome).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Mining, or a related field preferred.
Technical & Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities (process, mechanical, and interpersonal). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid computer proficiency and experience tracking performance data/KPIs.
