JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day shop floor operations and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently achieved. This role is responsible for supervising production associates, executing production plans, troubleshooting operational issues, and driving continuous improvement across fast-paced manufacturing processes. The Production Supervisor leads a team of 8-10 production associates and is accountable for the safe, efficient, and consistent execution of daily production requirements. Key duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Enforce all safety policies and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Address unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Set and enforce expectations for safety, quality, attendance and productivity
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management
  • Model OFCO's core values and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure products and processes meet quality specifications, customer requirements, inspection procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Partner with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time completion of work
  • Assign and prioritize work to meet production schedules and customer demands
  • Monitor production output and adjust staffing, priorities, and workflow to meet production requirements.
  • Train and cross-train employees on equipment, processes, standard work, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate additional training and development as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and identify recurring problems.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance on repairs and support operator-level equipment care.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, workflow, labor utilization, throughput, and waste reduction.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 6S, standardized work, and visual management.
  • Collaborate with Production leadership, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve operational issues.
  • Communicate production priorities, staffing needs, and constraints across shifts and to management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or coursework in manufacturing or industrial technology preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Experience in job shop or small-to-mid-size manufacturing preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Extended standing and walking on the production floor
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. (occasionally more)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and repetitive motion
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
  • Occasional extended hours to support production needs

Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
