Full-Time / Direct Hire A precision manufacturing company in Youngstown is hiring an experienced CNC Working Supervisor to lead its off-shift machining operations. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with a strong CNC machining background who can oversee production, assist with complex setups, troubleshoot technical issues, and support machinists throughout the shift. The facility operates CNC mills and lathes. Strong experience in either discipline will be considered, with experience across both preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily CNC machining operations on the off shift. Remain hands-on with complex setups, machining, and troubleshooting. Assist machinists with tooling, offsets, feeds, speeds, and program adjustments. Coordinate production priorities and address shop-floor issues. Read complex blueprints and resolve machining or quality problems. Support training and provide technical guidance to machinists. Monitor production progress and communicate with management. Maintain machining quality, productivity, and shop safety.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of CNC machining experience. Strong CNC mill or lathe setup experience. Previous supervisory, working lead, or team leadership experience. Ability to troubleshoot complex machining and tooling issues. Experience with program adjustments, tooling selection, and precision inspection. Strong blueprint reading and machining knowledge. Comfortable remaining hands-on while leading a team. Availability to work an off shift starting at 3 PM.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE CNC
mill and lathe machining. Conversational programming or program editing. Complex setups and low-volume precision machining. Experience training or mentoring machinists. Previous responsibility for coordinating shop-floor production. This is a working supervisory position, combining hands-on CNC machining with responsibility for supporting machinists and coordinating off-shift production.

$38.00
