Foreman (Field Leader)
Pay:
$35-$45 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
4×10-hour shifts
Job Type:
Full-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Foreman (Field Leader) to lead daily field operations and keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and according to plan. The Foreman is the hands-on leader at the jobsite and is responsible for daily production, quality, safety, and crew productivity. You will direct technicians and subcontractors, assign daily work, verify installations, identify issues early, and communicate progress and concerns to the project team. This is a working leadership role for someone who knows how to get work done, hold a crew accountable, and maintain high standards without sacrificing safety or quality. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily field activities and crews. Assign work based on technician experience, skill level, and readiness. Direct technicians and subcontractors on the jobsite. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and installation requirements. Verify completed work meets company and contractual quality standards. Perform quality checks and identify deficiencies before they become rework. Monitor crew productivity and labor hours against daily goals. Identify and communicate productivity, manpower, material, and scheduling concerns. Enforce jobsite safety procedures and conduct required safety briefings. Stop work when unsafe conditions or significant quality concerns are identified. Maintain accurate daily field reports in Fieldwire. Upload jobsite photos, progress updates, issues, and punch-list items. Track task completion and maintain accurate field documentation. Verify technician hours accurately reflect work performed. Track daily crew productivity and labor efficiency. Identify scope changes, site constraints, and potential project risks. Communicate execution issues through the appropriate project-management channels. Coach technicians on proper installation methods and field procedures. Identify skill gaps and communicate training needs. Assist with onboarding and development of new technicians. Complete required Trainual training milestones. What You Bring 5+ years of construction or technical installation experience. Previous Foreman, Lead Technician, Crew Lead, or similar leadership experience. Strong knowledge of installation practices and jobsite safety. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities in a field environment. A strong sense of accountability and ownership. Ability to make practical decisions and remain calm under pressure. Commitment to doing the job safely and correctly the first time. Experience with Fieldwire or similar construction field-management software is preferred. What You'll Be Accountable For Your primary focus will be:
Production:
Keep the crew moving and complete planned work each day.
Quality:
Make sure work is installed correctly the first time and meets required standards.
Safety:
Maintain a safe jobsite and address unsafe conditions immediately.
Productivity:
Monitor labor and crew output and proactively address inefficiencies.
Documentation:
Keep Fieldwire and other field records accurate and up to date. Your Authority As Foreman, you will have the authority to: Direct technicians and subcontractors. Assign daily tasks and establish work priorities. Request manpower, materials, equipment, and clarification. Stop work when safety or quality concerns require immediate action. The Foreman does not have authority to approve budgets or change orders, make contractual commitments, modify project scope, or change the master project schedule.
