Train, develop, and maintain training sheets on all employees and make recommendations for employee advancement.
Complete production, scrap, and rework reports.
Provides input on full time disciplinary reports, evaluations, and makes recommendations for merit increases.
Provide input on seasonal evaluation, disciplinary reports and merit increases.
Execute scheduled work orders to meet customer requirements.
Conduct pre-shift meetings and delegate daily work assignments.
Record daily attendance of seasonal and regular full-time employees. Assist supervisor in Incident/Accident investigation and reporting.
Provide a safe working environment.
Act on behalf of the supervisor during absence.
Act as First Responder during Plant emergencies.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Production Lead assists in the development, training, evaluation, and work schedules of both seasonal and regular full-time employees within a given area. This role also provides support to the Production Supervisor in achieving daily and monthly goals in safety, quality, accuracy and production. The Production Lead will be responsible for expediting work orders through the manufacturing process, accurate production reporting and maximizing resources while reducing scrap/rework. This position acts on the behalf of the Production Supervisor, if absent. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical multi-tasker with excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Resolve day to day issues to meet production, safety, shipping and quality goals.Train, develop, and maintain training sheets on all employees and make recommendations for employee advancement.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Able to follow verbal and written instructionsBasic math skillsAbility to deal with standardized situations with as few variables as possibleAbility to read assembly drawingsAbility to frequently bend and stoopMust be able to stand for extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a minimum lifting requirement of up to 50 poundsMust be willing to travel as needed via most efficient meansMust be physically able to access all areas of the plant and groundsManufacturing experience preferredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Basic computer skills- MS Word and MS ExcelAbility to interact in a positive manner with management and other employees to achieve goalsStrong leadership and organizational skillsBasic ability to troubleshooting production/personnel issues
WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER
Work Hours/Status:
The 1st shift includes Monday- Thursday 5am
- 3pm.
- Thursday 3pm
- 1am with a shift differential of $3.
The weekend shift includes Friday
- Sunday 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours and added weekend shift differential of $4.
