Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead our manufacturing operations with energy and precision. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure safety standards are upheld, and drive continuous process improvements. Your leadership will inspire teams to meet production goals efficiently while maintaining quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a fast-paced manufacturing environment, utilizing your technical expertise and supervisory skills to foster a culture of excellence and innovation. Duties
  • Ensuring safety, quality and efficiency standards and policies are consistently met.
  • Retooling and set-up of the Department when required.
  • Assist in troubleshooting machines; inform Maintenance Department of issues that cannot be fixed.
  • Manage department priorities through training and scheduling
  • Ensuring the department has required manpower and raw material to run as planned.
  • Ensure machines are running at correct speeds.
  • Check First Offs to ensure quality standards are being met.
  • Operate machinery and overhead crane if required.
  • Ensure tooling is ready for the next changeover.
  • Responsible for tensile testing.
  • Timekeeping records with ADP systems
  • Manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management within the department
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications Proven factory experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly line operations. Hands-on mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and interpreting technical drawings. Prior experience managing production or assembly teams in a manufacturing facility setting. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement strategies, and safety standards in production environments. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to interpret technical documentation accurately. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively manage teams and coordinate across departments.
