This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with a strong background in steam turbine repair, precision machining, and large industrial components. Our machine shop primarily supports steam turbine component repairs, along with other turbine components, specialty machining, tooling, equipment repairs, and general industrial machining. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily machine shop operations and personnel. Provide hands-on technical support for turbine components machining and repair projects. Plan machining setups, sequences, tooling, and methods for repair work. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, tolerances, and repair specifications. Operate and provide technical direction on manual lathes, VTLs, horizontal boring mills, mills, and other machine tools. Perform and oversee precision dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring equipment. Fabricate or modify tooling, fixtures, and setups as needed for specialty repairs. Coordinate with Quality, Welding, Inspection, and Operations to keep projects on schedule. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive machine shop. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of turbine or heavy industrial machining experience. Strong machining background with turbine component repair experience preferred. Experience machining large, complex components and performing specialty repair setups. Strong blueprint reading, dimensional inspection, setup, troubleshooting, and leadership skills. Experience with manual machining equipment including lathes, VTLs, boring mills, and mills. Ability to work within close tolerances and understand fits, clearances, and dimensional requirements. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Previous supervisory or lead machinist experience preferred. We are looking for a well-rounded, working supervisor who can lead from the floor, develop machining solutions for challenging repair work, maintain high safety and quality standards, and help CPRS continue expanding its turbine repair capabilities.

Position:

Full-Time, Salaried (40 hours minimum) / Salary based on experience
