The Production Operator is a cross-trained manufacturing role responsible for performing hands-on production duties across three core functional areas: Liquid Packer, Powder Blending, and Liquid Blending. This position is designed to build a flexible, multi-skilled workforce capable of rotating between departments as production demand requires. Operators advance through three competency tiers based on demonstrated skill, safety performance, quality results, and independence across all three functional areas. This is a generic, department-neutral description intended to standardize expectations and support cross-training and internal mobility between Liquid Packing, Powder Blending, and Liquid Blending lines. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to full shift length). Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance.
Exposure to production environment conditions:
noise, temperature variation, powders, liquids, and chemical odors typical of a blending/packing facility. Required use of PPE, including but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, and a respirator. Must be clean-shaven where required to achieve a proper respirator seal, and must successfully pass a respirator fit test and medical evaluation prior to use, in accordance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134). Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as production schedules require. Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs, batch records, and safety data sheets (SDS). Basic math and measurement skills (weights, volumes, percentages). Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability. Prior manufacturing, food/chemical processing, or warehouse experience is a plus but not required for Tier 1.
