Our El Paso/Fort Bliss Depot site is looking for a talented supervisor/leader. This position has overall responsibility for manufacturing operation team(s) in a fast paced and dynamic environment and will lead a team of manual machinists, welders, assemblers, paint, blast, prep technicians. The individual in this role ensures assembled hardware meets contractual quality and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production. This individual will also need to ensure a safe work environment and will be actively engaged in safety improvement projects. This role requires daily interaction with other cross-business teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include operations cell leads, quality control, manufacturing/test/engineering, maintenance, production control and facility management, EHS and program management. Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, safety goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities are critical performance criteria for this position. The supervisor/leader will be responsible for training, coaching and team building of assigned employees and driving the right culture while serving as an escalation point for people issues and support needed. The leader reports to the Factory Operations Manager (FOM) and is responsible for the performance, productivity and compliance of the employees within their assigned team. What You Will Do Develope a flexible and cross-trained workforce with daily performance that includes execution to daily and monthly goals and early identification of issues to meet schedule, quality, delivery and cost commitments while keeping team motivated and focused. Monitor safety performance of the team and insure proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is available and being used appropriately, and ensure proper resources are available. Provide meaningful performance feedback and utilize proper corrective actions, discipline and rewards and recognition consistent with policies and procedures Track and Approve labor charging and timely correction of inaccuracies as required. Lead daily Tier meetings and attend and participate in department meetings Developing and maintaining customer relationships and providing exceptional service. Support in generating future state capacity plans for capital expenditure modelling. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices. Experience leading a team-based manufacturing environment and the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision Experience working with engineering documentation, procedures and reading mechanical drawings Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook) U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
