Job Description
KP Staffing is now hiring Factory Supervisors in Houston, TX! This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client, a growing manufacturing company in Houston . The Factory Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership on the production floor, working alongside employees while overseeing daily workflow, safety, quality, and productivity within an assigned manufacturing area. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing, fabrication, construction, electrical, mechanical, or industrial experience and be comfortable leading a team while remaining actively involved in production. Pay $31.00 - $42.00/hour Shift First shift Duties Lead a team of production employees within an assigned manufacturing area Remain hands-on and actively participate in production activities Read and interpret drawings, plans, specifications, and work instructions Coordinate daily production activities and work assignments Ensure employees understand production requirements and priorities Monitor productivity, quality, attendance, and safety Troubleshoot manufacturing, assembly, and production issues Train, coach, and support new and existing employees Ensure required PPE and workplace safety procedures are consistently followed Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe production area Communicate production issues, delays, and concerns to management Partner with production, quality, safety, and engineering teams Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards Support continuous improvement and production efficiency efforts Responsibilities Provide hands-on leadership to production employees Coordinate workflow and daily production priorities Ensure employees follow safety and quality requirements Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions Train and support production team members Monitor productivity and address production issues Partner with manufacturing leadership and support teams Maintain a strong presence on the production floor Qualifications Previous manufacturing, fabrication, construction, electrical, mechanical, or industrial production experience Previous experience as a Supervisor, Lead, Foreman, or similar hands-on leadership role Ability to lead a team while remaining actively involved in production work Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, plans, schematics, or technical work instructions Strong understanding of workplace safety and quality expectations Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize work and coordinate production activities Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience training or coaching production employees preferred Experience in modular manufacturing, prefabrication, fabrication, industrial assembly, electrical systems, or mechanical systems preferred Experience working in a growing manufacturing operation is a plus Job Type Direct Hire with Client
