Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mill Manager to oversee the daily operations of our feed mill facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production processes, ensuring safety and quality standards are met or exceeded. The Mill Manager will play a key role in optimizing efficiency, ensuring on-time production, maintaining excellent housekeeping, assisting with mill maintenance where needed and keying in on safety in all aspects of the position.

Responsibilities:

Supervise, coordinate and execute all activities related to mill operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control. Execute operational policies and procedures with Food Safety standards as a focus point to achieve productivity and safety excellence in producing feed . Monitor production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations. Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory levels, and operational metrics. Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize machinery performance. Control costs by reducing waste and improving process efficiencies. Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among team members.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in manufacturing or mill management, with a strong understanding of production processes. Ability and competence in performing mill preventative maintenance including climbing elevators to heights of 150' Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of food safety requirements, safety regulations and environmental standards relevant to manufacturing facilities. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyze data and generate reports for operational inventory reporting. Bachelor's degree in manufacturing management, feed science or a related field preferred.
